Gilt Edge Gold Rush, seen below, was awarded Supreme Huacaya Alpaca at the Levin show in January. Gilt Edge Scimitar was Champion 24month and over, Gilt Edge Alchemist Champion Intermediate huacaya and Gilt Edge Santiago was reserve Champion Intermediate huacaya. Gilt Edge High Noon was Champion Junior huacaya. A great set of results for our show team at this pleasant country show.

LATEST NEWS: AANZ national show 2011. Gilt Edge Alpacas had a great show. Look HERE to see the results page. Two Championship ribbons and two Reserve Champion ribbons in the fleece section. In the ring, Gilt Edge Scimitar placed third in the highly competitive Intermediate White male class behind the eventual Supreme. Empire Ruby Wine, co-owned with Empire Alpacas, won Reserve Champion Adult female beating white alpacas into that placing. Grid sample results also available for our champion fleeces. Gilt Edge Scimitar is continuing to perform well in the show ring. Scimitar won Supreme Huacaya at the inaugural alpaca show at Masterton. At the AANZ National show he was placed third behind the eventual Supreme Champion. At the Waikato Royal show he won Reserve Champion Intermediate male and at Hawkes Bay he was 1st in his class and Reserve Champion White Huacaya behind the eventual Supreme Huacaya.

Gilt Edge Seville won Supreme Alpaca at the Levin Composite show January 2011. Gilt Edge Scimitar was Champion Intermediate Composite Huacaya, Gilt Edge Seville Champion Junior Huacaya Composite. Gilt Edge Seville won Supreme fleece and Champion Huacaya fleece with a score of 82.5 points. Gilt Edge Scimitar was Reserve Champion Huacaya fleece with a score of 79.5. Despite torrential rain, it was a good day out!
